Injection foam wall insulation · Lake Geneva, WI

Lake Geneva homes were built for summer. Winter is another story.

Lake cottages that became year-round homes, older houses near downtown, ranches around Williams Bay and Fontana — plenty of homes around Geneva Lake have little or nothing in the walls. Cozy Walls fills them with injection foam from the outside, in a day or two, without touching a wall in your living space.
Erik, the owner, does every Lake Geneva estimate himself.

Why Lake Geneva houses lose so much heat

A lot of homes around Geneva Lake started out as summer places. They were built to stay cool in July, not to hold heat in January — and when they became year-round homes, the walls usually stayed empty.
  • Converted lake cottages: often just siding, framing and an empty cavity. Filling the walls is usually the biggest comfort upgrade they can get.
  • Older homes near downtown Lake Geneva: plaster over lath, siding over sheathing, and nothing in between.
  • 1950s–70s ranches: empty walls, or fiberglass batts we can usually fill around. Loose blown-in insulation we check for at the estimate, because foam can’t flow through it.
The result: a house that’s perfect in summer and drafty from November to March.
