- MUSKEGO’S HOUSING PROBLEM
Half of Muskego was built for summer. All of Muskego lives here in January.
Around Little Muskego and Big Muskego Lakes, the story repeats house after house: a
seasonal cottage from decades back got winterized, added onto, and turned into a yearround home — but the original walls never got touched. Cottage framing was built for
July, not January, and many of those wall cavities are empty or close to it.
Off the water, Muskego’s ’70s-’90s subdivisions have the same era problem as the rest
of the county: walls insulated to standards nobody would accept today, settled and
gapped after decades of Wisconsin seasons.
Sound familiar?
- The A/C runs all day in July and the house still won’t drop below 79
- The furnace can’t hold 65 on a January night — and never shuts off trying
- The original-cottage part of the house is a different climate than the addition
- Pipes on an exterior wall that freeze every cold snap
- Frost on the inside of the walls on the coldest mornings
Your walls are the biggest surface of your home. We fix that — and prove it — in a day or two.
- How It Works
Most Muskego homes: done in one day; two-story or 1,400+ sq ft: two.
- 01 — MEASURE
Measure
Blower door test first — a hard number on how much air your home leaks. Thermal imaging shows exactly where.
- 02 — ACCESS
Access
A course of siding comes off — or dimesized holes through mortar joints on brick homes. Nothing gets torn open.
- 03 — FILL
Fill
Injection foam fills every cavity completely and cures in place — it never settles or sags.
- 04 — PROVE IT
Prove It
Siding back on, final thermal scan, and a second blower door test. Before and after, side by side. Our tests routinely measure at least 25% less air leakage — and up to 50%.

- WHY YOUR NEIGHBORS PICK US
Owned by a neighbor, not a franchise.
Cozy Walls is owned by Erik Hoffman — a retired Army Master Sergeant with 29 years of
service, a standard of strict attention to detail, and a shop just up the road in Waukesha.
Our crew has insulated over 200 Wisconsin homes, and when you call for an estimate,
the person at your door is Erik — the owner, not a salesman.
Every job is backed by our Lifetime-of-the-Home, Transferable Warranty — the
foam is warranted never to settle, sag, or lose performance for as long as your house
stands, and it transfers to the next owner if you sell.

- MUSKEGO FAQ
Local questions, straight answers
Do you charge a trip fee to come out to Muskego?
Never. Estimates are free, and
there’s no travel charge.
Our house started as a lake cottage. Can you insulate the original walls?
That’s a
Muskego specialty. Converted cottages usually have the emptiest walls on the lake —
original framing that was never meant for winter. We fill those cavities the same as any
home, and the thermal camera will show you the cottage section transform.
Part of our house is an addition. Do you do the whole thing or just the old part?
We
scan everything and quote what actually needs foam. Additions built in recent decades
sometimes test fine — you only pay to fix the walls that are failing.
Will you handle the Focus on Energy paperwork?
Every page of it. You just cash the
check.
