Wall Insulation in West Allis, Wisconsin

A city of solid, honest houses — built by people who worked hard, in an era before wall insulation.
West Allis bungalows and Cape Cods were built to last, and they have. The walls just need what 1935 couldn’t give them.

Stallis was built in the factory decades — sturdy frames, hollow walls.

Block after block of West Allis went up in the 1920s through the 1950s: bungalows, Cape Cods, and story-and-a-halfs built for the families who built everything else. These houses have survived ninety Wisconsin winters because they were framed right. But wall insulation wasn’t part of the deal back then — most of these homes have empty cavities behind the plaster, and the ones that got blown-in material decades later have watched it settle into the bottom third of the wall.
Living in one, you know:
Your walls are the biggest surface of your home. We fix that — and prove it — in a day or two.

Most West Allis homes: done in one day; two-story or 1,400+ sq ft: two.

Measure

Blower door test first — a hard number on how much air your home leaks. Thermal imaging shows exactly where.

Access

A course of siding comes off and goes back on — aluminum, vinyl, or original wood. On brick, dime-sized holes through the mortar joints, sealed with new mortar color matched as close as possible.

Fill

Injection foam fills every cavity completely and cures in place — it never settles or sags.

Prove It

Final thermal scan and a second blower door test. Before and after, side by side. Our tests routinely measure at least 25% less air leakage — and up to 50%.

Owned by a neighbor, not a franchise.

Cozy Walls is owned by Erik Hoffman — a retired Army Master Sergeant with 29 years of service, a standard of strict attention to detail, and a shop in Waukesha. Our crew has insulated over 200 Wisconsin homes, and when you call for an estimate, the person at your door is Erik — the owner, not a salesman.
Every job is backed by our Lifetime-of-the-Home, Transferable Warranty — the foam is warranted never to settle, sag, or lose performance for as long as your house stands, and it transfers to the next owner if you sell.

The Cozy Walls team was an absolute pleasure to work with. I have an older home that was originally built in the early 1900’s. It was drafty and I could hear a lot of road noise from inside my living room. That is until Cozy Walls did their thing. The noise reduction was the first thing I noticed. I couldn’t believe the difference. Erik was very informative and the Veteran Discount helped a lot! Definitely worth the cost as I’m already noticing a difference in my energy bill. Highly recommend!

Took 3 times the quote to finish. Left unfixed exterior wall damage. I had to find someone else to fix.

Me and my wife just bought our first house and discovered that our bedroom was very cold compared to the rest of the house, and that our furnace was almost constantly running struggling to keep the house warm. Cozy Walls came out and insulated the entire house and garage and found out that most of our walls had no insulation anymore due to the age and the insulation deteriorating. Since having work done our bedroom is much warmer and our furnace runs a lot less, saving us money! Amy and Zach run a great business and their crew was very professional. And it was very affordable and cost-effective. They placed blankets over my motorcycles in the garage so they wouldn't get dirty during the work being performed and they cleaned up everything very well after. Cannot recommend Cozy Walls enough if you need any insulation done in your house

WELL worth the read! Customer service ? This company is right on point! From Zack and Amy to the rest of their team, wow! Until I found these two companies, I had an awful and long time getting one to return my calls or come out for an estimate. I saw an ad on TV for Healthy Home Insulation, left a message on a Sunday, they came out the next day! Before Erik left he gave me an estimate for attic and basement (Healthy Homes) as well the walls from (Cozy Walls Insulation.) They were out here the following week to complete the job! I have HORRIBLE allergies that can cause my eyes to swell shut to causing vertigo. I was concerned that the smell of foam spray would be an issue. Amy, Cozy Walls said they would come out try a wall see how it went. If it was ok, complete the job, if not, we would figure something out. To me this is a company that truly cares about their customers! BOTH companies have gone above and beyond from start to finish. I would recommend them to anyone!

Local questions, straight answers

Do you charge a trip fee to come out to West Allis?
Never. Estimates are free, and there’s no travel charge.
Almost never. Loose-fill material settles — decades later it’s compacted into the bottom of each cavity with a cold, empty gap up top. The thermal camera will show you exactly what’s left, and foam fills the whole cavity for good.
The Cape Cod half-story is the classic Stallis complaint — short knee walls and slope sections that were never insulated right. Fixing the wall cavities makes a real difference, and we’ll scan the whole envelope so you know exactly what’s going on up there.
Every page of it. You just cash the check.
