What Moves the Price

The single biggest driver. A 1,200 square foot ranch and a 2,800 square foot two-story are different jobs.

Siding type

Vinyl siding comes off and goes back on cleanly. Aluminum, steel, wood, and brick each take more time and more care. Stucco is its own conversation.

Number of stories

Second and third stories mean more staging and more setup time.

Access

Tight lot lines, landscaping, decks, and outbuildings all affect how quickly the crew can work around the house.

Existing conditions

Older homes sometimes have blocking, balloon framing, or previous partial insulation that has to be worked around.

Focus on Energy Rebates

Wisconsin’s Focus on Energy program pays homeowners to improve efficiency, and wall insulation is one of the projects it covers.

Qualifying wall insulation projects earn a minimum of $1,425 back.

To qualify, a project needs to cover at least 600 square feet of wall area. Most whole-home projects clear that easily. A single-wall project usually does not — so if the rebate matters to you, it’s worth asking during the estimate whether adding adjacent walls would put you over the threshold. Sometimes doing more costs less after the rebate.

What Happens at the Estimate

Erik — the owner — comes out personally. Not a commissioned salesman, not a subcontractor.

He measures the exterior walls, checks the siding and access, looks at the areas giving you trouble, and walks you through what the job would involve. You get a written number before he leaves.

There is no charge, no obligation, and no pressure. If injection foam isn’t the right fix for your problem, he’ll tell you that too.
